Facilities at The Charterhouse

In addition to our individual guest rooms The Charterhouse offers a range of communal spaces, ideal for anyone looking to rest, relax and unwind.

Wellness with Anais:

We are delighted that our daughter, a fully qualified Wellness and Beauty Therapist has joined us to offer a range of relaxing treatments. The lounge transforms into a calm space where you can choose from massage, facials and hand and foot treatments to add a luxurious finishing touch to your getaway. All treatments are by appointment only, which can be scheduled before or during your stay.

Guest Lounge:

During the cooler months, and in the evenings, our guest lounge provides a cosy and inviting space for couples or families and friends to get together.

close to both the sea and Cockington Village We look forward to creating the next chapter for The Charterhouse together.

Sun terrace:

Once the sun begins to shine The Charterhouse gardens really come into their own. Enjoy a drink on the upper terrace, accessible from the lounge, and with a beautiful sea view. A real sun trap into the late afternoon.

Lower terrace:

Alternatively, the lower terrace has a large outdoor dining table with room for up to 8 to picnic at your leisure.

Although we do not have an alcohol license, please feel free to bring your favourite tipple.

 Lawned Garden:

The lower garden is the perfect place to sit surrounded by nature and soak up the sun throughout the day, with deckchairs and benches available for your use. There is also a second smaller dining table and chairs on the grass.

Our little pool makes a welcome addition to the garden space, keeping the children well entertained and perfect for adults taking a cooling dip. The pool is open and heated from the end of May until September.

Guest parking:

At The Charterhouse we are very fortunate to have a large car park exclusively for guest use. There is no additional charge for this facility. Many guests leave their car for the length of their stay and either walk or make the most of the nearby public transport services.
