Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement in our two Garden Rooms only and are not allowed in the main part of the building.

Conditions Of Booking

A deposit is required to secure your room.
All deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated.
Full payment of the cost of your booking is due on arrival (less deposit paid)

Telephone/email reservations will be held for up to 7 days pending receipt of deposit

Cancellation Charges:
For cancellation within 14 days of the date of commencement of the holiday or for 'no shows' the total cost of the holiday will be charged. Holiday Insurance to safeguard the cost of your holiday is recommended.
Please note no reduction will be made for early departure.

The card holder is responsible for full payment of the booking and we reserve the right to charge any outstanding amount to the card holder's card without further recourse to the cardholder.

Any damage to or removal of hotel property will be chargeable and must be paid for in full. In accepting the booking the cardholder is responsible for room(s) booked by him and gives authorisation for his card to be charged for any loss/damage incurred whether by himself or his guests. Replacement will be at current market values for that item.

Accommodation is available from 3.00 pm. We do not accept late check-ins after 10 pm. The Charterhouse does not have a 24 hour reception facility. It is therefore advisable to contact The Charterhouse to advise an ETA. If we do not receive an ETA we cannot guarantee to be here when you arrive.

Check-out terms: Check-out by 10.30 am to enable us to prepare the room for the next guest. Keys must be returned to Reception. Failure to return the key will result in a £7.00 charge per key.

Lost Property: Please ensure you have collected all your possessions before leaving The Charterhouse. In the event that we are required to return items to you a charge will be made to cover the cost of postage and packing and any parking charges incurred in taking the items to the post office.

Children:
We welcome families but would ask that parents take extra care not to let their children wander around the premises unattended. Special attention should be taken to ensure the children do not enter the swimming pool area unattended and when in the pool area they must always be accompanied by an adult.

Pets:
Two small dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only in one of our two Garden Rooms. Please enquire by telephone at the time of booking. We have limited availability for guests who bring their dogs using our independently accessed Garden Rooms. Dogs are not allowed in the main building and should not be left unattended in the bedroom, unless it is for a short break whilst you are having breakfast etc. Dogs should have their own appropriate bedding and should be kept off the furniture.

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate Stag and Hen parties.

The Charterhouse is non-smoking throughout. Evidence of smoking in the room will result in a £75.00 charge being made to the card holder's card to cover the cost of cleaning the room and loss of use whilst cleaning is taking place.

Cars parked at The Charterhouse car park or grounds are left at owners risk and The Charterhouse will not be liable for any damage/theft/loss caused to the car whilst on the Charterhouse grounds.

Food Allergies: Whilst every effort is made to accommodate guests with food allergies, we are unable to guarantee against cross-contamination of foods. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods we use could change the formulation at any time, without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. The Charterhouse will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed, or items one may come in contact with while eating at The Charterhouse
