Covid 19 Health & Safety Precautions at The Charterhouse 2021
In order to re-open, we are required to put a number of measures in place to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. This document is attached in PDF format.
We have thought extremely hard about each aspect of your stay, keeping social distancing regulations in place, minimising the need to share spaces, and therefore reducing the risk of cross contamination. We obviously want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your holiday, so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Similarly, if you are unwell with any symptoms of COVID -19 please do not travel and we will do our best to transfer your stay to another date. If you begin to display symptoms during your stay it is essential that you inform us immediately and self-isolate in your room, as we will then be able to help you with the necessary steps.
We are following all government and industry guidelines, and these will be updated as measures change over time. At present this means that our pool is not open, as we have not yet been given permission to do so.
To finalise your contactless check in we will now take payment from the credit card provided before your arrival. Could you also supply your vehicle registration, dietary requirements if any, and next destination, in case of the need to track and trace.
We are aware that restaurant reservations may be trickier than usual and advise that you book in advance for any restaurants or attractions. We will be happy to offer suggestions, but a full and updated list, including all information regarding re-opening can be found at www.englishriviera.co.uk.
This is obviously a hugely different way of operating for us all. However, we are genuinely concerned that this 'new normal' will still allow you to relax and unwind. The Charterhouse is a beautiful property in an extremely tranquil part of town, which coupled with Christophe's delicious food provides the perfect remedy to a long lockdown.
